Context and needs

Amissima is an insurance group established in 2015 following the acquisition of Carige Assicurazioni S.p.A. and Carige Vita Nuova S.p.A. by AMISSIMA Holdings S.r.l. The company operates in both the Property & Casualty and Life insurance sectors, offering solutions for retail customers and SMEs.

With the goal of creating a flexible and agile work environment, Amissima decided to enable the use of mobile devices by its employees. For this reason, it was necessary to implement a new line of defense to comprehensively protect identities, apps, devices, and company data.

Solution and Technology

To meet the needs of Amissima, SoftJam implemented the Windows Intune Mobile Device Management platform, integrating it with Azure Active Directory and Azure Information Protection. This allowed for the protection of company data through identity control with Multi-Factor Authentication policies and conditional app access.

Additionally, to protect the company’s mobile devices from viral cyber attacks, SoftJam decided to integrate Windows Intune with the Lookout application. Lookout is capable of identifying harmful apps, malicious links, operating system issues, and phishing attacks on the device. When the system detects a security issue, it sends an alarm to both the device’s owner and the management console, enabling the operator to promptly intervene and manage the problem.
